Reimaging

Reimaging is the process by which the contents of a hard drive is copied to another hard drive, creating an exact bit-for-bit copy. Imaging simply overwrites the sink hard drive, destroying any data that was stored. This means that if you destroy your configuration, it is a good idea to store all data in a single folder, and to backup this folder to a secure and safe place (or burn the data to a CD), as TICC will not do this before reimaging your tablet.

The source hard drive for TICC is a general build of Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP with a scientific suite of programs for students. Most (if not all) of the software was introduced to students in Field Session.
