Course Information

MATH 300: Foundations of Advanced Mathematics - This course is an introduction to communication in mathematics as well computational tools for mathematics. This writing intensive course provides a transition from the Calculus sequence to the upper- division mathematics curriculum at CSM. Topics include logic, techniques of mathematical proofs, reading and writing proofs, mathematics software.

Prerequisite: MATH 213, 223 or 224, and MATH 300 or consent of instructor. 2 hours lecture, 1 hour seminar, 1 hours lab; 4 semester hours..
