vpnc-gui is a [[wikipedia:GPL]] Graphical User Interface for vpnc, an open-source Cisco VPN client.  This client is not designed to mirror the Windows client, instead it aims to provide a simpler user interface.  The interface provides only a username and password entry dialog by default and provides connection configuration information as an advanced option.  The application is designed to run from an icon in the system panel or from the desktop so that the end-user can quickly login or out by opening the program.
